Hi all,
I want to connect 'Query Tool' which is installed in my local machine to run SQL queries and get the results from DB2 database in the Mainframe.
I think the connection is made using ODBC connection to the Mainframe DB2 database. I'm not sure on how to do this.
Could some one please clarify on how I can connect the Query tool on Windows platform to the DB2 database on Mainframe.

Hi Kolusu
Thank you very much for the links. I've gone thru the article DB2 Connect.
I'm not able to understand the below points:
1. is DB2 connect a mandatory to connect mainframe and to run the queries in my query tool in windows platform?
2. if we have the DB2 Connect is it like its part of Mainframe or Windows platform. Its mentioned in the Article that it will interact with WLM.
3. is it not possible only with the ODBC connection or driver to connect to mainframe and run the queries? _________________ Tx
