Hi all,

I need to create a PS with current date in the last HLQ. The date format can be Gregorian or Julian.
i.e., USERID.FILE.D090324 or USERID.FILE.D09083.
I searched this forum and found some JCLs doing the same but with the utility EZACFSM1. In the mainframe I'm working there is no such utility. Please let me know if there is a way to create the PS with the normally available utilities.

You can use DFSORT to add a date value. More important, however, is how do you want this process to work? Are you going to rename an existing dataset to this new name? Are you going to create and submit a new job? What exactly do you want the process to be?
