Hi All,

I'm trying to connect Mainframe thru FTP software (EXTRA - Attachmate reflection software) to FTP some of the components into mainframe.

I've provided with the correct IP address , User name and password and tried to connect but failing with the below message

530 PASS command filed.

I've verified the correctness of the username, IP address and password many times and but facing with the same issue and also googled to get some info but was not successful

Could some one please help me in solving this issue.

FWIW, I get that same error if I attempt to connect to a system that I'm not authorized for FTP access on.

Hi SuperK,

Thank you for the info. When I checked about this with my Admin he is also facing with same error message.

Not sure what causing the problem.

Is it like the FTP has to be setup in mainframe or something like that?

Could some please suggest/avice on this Rolling Eyes
