Hi,

I have requirement like this. I need to access VSAM as well as Create Reports. Creating reports can be easily done in EASYTRIEVE. But how Good is accessing VSAM thru EASYTRIEVE?

Can anyone suggest me with explaination to solve my dilema??

if the report could easily be built with easytrieve I would always use easytrieve.

vsam is not problem with easytrieve. if you have a packed-decimal field as a key and you are doing random/dynamic access, redefine your PD field as x-type and use that as your key.
