A CICS task should not be hung in a TASKSWCH wait for a long time so there is definitely appears to be a problem.
If you invoke the CKQC transaction and select task display from the pull down menus you will get a display like:
Code: |
CKQCM3 Display Task panel
Read task status information. Then press F12 to cancel.
Tasks 1 to 5 of 5
Tran User Task Task Thread Total Res API Last Thread
Id Id Num Status Status APIs Sec Exit MQ call ID
---- -------- ----- -------- -------- ---------- --- --- ---------- --------
CKAM SYSTASK 00025 Normal Between 1 No No INQINDOUBT 1A5FF628
CKTI SYSTASK 00045 Normal Msg Wait 2 No No MQGET 1A5FF2E0
CKBR SYSTASK 00048 Normal Msg Wait 7 No No MQGET 1A5FF3F8
CKBR SYSTASK 00050 Normal Msg Wait 7 No No MQGET 1A5FF1C8
CKBR SYSTASK 00052 Normal Msg Wait 7 No No MQGET 1A5FF510
|
This should show the MQ API call that is hanging.
You should also look at the CICS and MQ job logs to see if they show any sign of problems. Also check the MVS console log.
If these steps fail to identify the cause of the problem you will probably need to raise a problem with the IBM support centre. _________________ Bob Buxton

Bad data is a possibility, especially since your problem is recreatable with a single transaction, but I am afraid I don't have any good ideas on how to find the problem. _________________ Bob Buxton

Is there any possibility that GET with WAIT option with some wait intervals will solve the issue ? _________________ Thanks,

We solved the problem by enabling the GET with WAIT option and setting the wait intervals to 10 secs.
Thanks for all your help. _________________ Thanks,
