Manoj, I know u have the VSAM file... I was suggesting that u build the VSAM file key not the actual VSAM file.

Anyway, if it does not work then u have others methods to choose from.

I was going to say Santosh Kumar's method but then I remembered Davey's post Mr. Green

Merv,

Sorry, no COBOL solution (although it is possible). But, it was only 400 lines of code for the whole package which made me very happy. If your lucky enough to use C++ there is already a class in the IBM class library for SkipLists.

Anyway, nothing wrong with shovelling data into a warehouse. Sure beats reading IMS log files and cranking by hand. Modern technology, sure miss that...

Dave, old technology, sure miss that! Data warehouses pay the bills, but there are no kicks.
