Hi every one,

My requirement is to prepare a test data out of given set of 10 records.
The input file is variable block.

i need to replicate those records and each set of 10 records should contain different account id.

Like say first set of records contains account id as 0010000001

for each set we can increment the account id by 1

totally 1 million records are required.how can we achieve this using a jcl utility.

Regards,
Nagesh

A JCL utility would modify/generate/check/proof JCL. What you want is the parms for a SORT utility.

OK, I have my school teacher hat removed.

I would use a programming solution - ezytrieve, rexx, cobol, pl1, only because I have no idea how to do it with sort.

Kolusu, Frank or Alissa will come along and provide a sort solution

the JCL you need depends on the program you are going to run - please understand the difference between PROGRAM and JCL.

Nagesh,

You have been notified earlier via a private message that your IP address is under observation for violating the rules of this board. Another new ID will not solve it.
