Please help me in estimating the cost for the Transition from one Hosting to another Hosting Vendor. Our mainframe applications are going to modify for the new hosting vendor. I have to estimate the cost for this transition.
Please help me how to go ahead with this transition plan. I want to know what are the things i have to consider while preparing and costing the transition.
Although this doesn't give you a straight forward answer but will give you leads on how to go about it.
Please consider the following when you do your transition & estimates
1) Knowledge of the application available
2) Language expertise in both platforms
3) Complexity of the programs
4) Any expertise in similar porting experience... this may give you some idea about the transition plan and estimates.
