Hi,
We are currently trying to invoke the IBM supplied HelloWorld.java Program through CICS. We have the Transaction manager 1.3 and the Java JDK 1.1. When we try to initiate the transaction it is throwing the following message in the log:

DFHAC2236 10/18/03 16:41:27 CICSSFD Transaction RAK2 abend ASRB in program DFHAPLJ1 term 1057. Updates to local recoverable resources will be backed out.

Can anyone help Out?

Regards,
Vani

vani,

check this link for a detailed explanation of the sample/Prerequisites/installation/testing of "Hello World" sample. Just make sure that you have completed all of the set up tasks explained in the link.

Hope this helps..

Kolusu,
We are invoking the Program online from CICS. We do not have EJB installed in the mainframes. We just followed the procedure as follows:

The Sample program is provided by IBM in the following path on USS:
/usr/lpp/cicsts/cicsts13/samples/dfjcics/examples/HelloWorld

We created the .class file using javac compiler.

We defined the required CLASSPATH and the LIBPATH in the following dataset:
CICSTS13.CICS.SDFHENV(DFHJVM)

and included the above dataset in the start-up JCL along with the following DD card:

DFHCJVM DD DUMMY

We then defined the program to cics with the JVM(YES) and JVMCLASS(examples.HelloWorld.HelloWorld) after including the /usr/lpp/cicsts/cicsts13/samples/dfjcics in the CLASSPATH.

Now, when we invoke the Txn it is abending with the above error saying that DFHAPLJ1 load module has errors. This program is picked up from
CICSTS13.CICS.SDFHLOAD.

Regards,
Vani

Vani,

This problem with your definitions. You are setting the link in USS to
Code:

/usr/lpp/cicsts/cicsts13/samples/dfjcics/examples/HelloWorld

change the above to the following

Code:

/usr/lpp/cicsts/cicsts13/examples

Hope this helps...

cheers
