Somebody at our company said that since the introduction of the Language Environment there was something changed regarding Assembler calling COBOL. One should pass a field-count after the introduction, which is other than before. I know nothing about assembler on the IBM mainframe. I looked in some manuals but i couldn't find the answer. Can anyone help me out? Thanks!

Crox,

I am not sure as to where you got the information, but here is a link which explains "Determining requirements for calling and called assembler programs"

http://publibz.boulder.ibm.com/cgi-bin/bookmgr_OS390/BOOKS/IGY3MG20/APPENDIX1.4.1
