|
|
I have written a rexx exec which calls for user to input data from an Input Panel. Depending on the data, I perform 'VIEW' of a dataset. The program works fine but when the user exits the main Panel, the cursor is not at Command prompt.
How can I force the cursor to be at command prompt when I exit the rexx program.

Not enough information. How are you doing things? Is the "main panel" a selection panel (ISPEXEC SELECT PANEL()) or a display panel (ISPEXEC SELECT DISPLAY PANEL()). There are many ways to create the process you are describing so you need to describe what you are doing and exactly where the unwanted behavior is. _________________ New members are encouraged to read the How To Ask Questions The Smart Way FAQ at http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html. |

I am using ISPEXEC Display Panel(zPanelName) to display the panel using TSO.
I issue TSO mYRexx to display the panel. Once on this panel I have three choices. If I select anyof these choices I close the panel and go to 'VIEW' mode (a differant dataset). After viewing when I quit the VIEW, I am in TSO where I used The TSO command. It is when I exit this Panel, I find that the cursor is NOT at command prompt. It is anywhere on the screen. Every time it is in a differant spot. I have to press HOME key to put in command prompt area. The Rexx program is working fine except for the cursor issue.

Have you tried to exit the view macro issuing a return code 1.
I have used this in edit macros before, although not in the same fashion as your requirement. Give it a go and see what happens as I don't have access to the big box until Monday. _________________ If it's true that we are here to help others,
