Trying to setup a TN3270 server on z/OS 1.8 & am getting a 7246 error which means 'User does not have authority to access this port'. I've followed the RACF recommendations & I see no security violations. Now granted I know next to nothing about TCPIP, but this stuff shouldn't be rocket science!! Does anyone know anything about this??

which port 23(telnet)??
Is is possibly that a secure port has been setup and 23 shutdown??
