I am getting following abend message when I am trying to xpedite a subprgram SUBPGM1; Please let me know what this message is saying....

It is saying that program DBAIORTN failed with a file open error.

Is it a problem with connection facility from Cobol program to DB2 system? How can I solve this.

I do not know. Have you tried the AA SNAP command as suggested by Xpediter?

The problem is arising within DB2 but it may be that something has been wrongly set up somewhere eg a call. If your call looks OK then ask the DBA - that is one of the reasons that they are there.

Suma, did you indicate on the xpeditor panel that this is a db2 program and provide the plan name?
