What is the difference between Icetool,syncsort,Dfsort and which one is better in performance?

ICETOOL is the documented utility belonging to DFSORT. ICEtool (now this is not official, it is my perspective) enhances DFSORT with an 'ezytrieve' addon. Icetool enables substantial data manipulation capabilites to DFSORT.

ICETOOL is also an entry to the syncsort utility, which accompllishes the same add-on enhancement to syncsort as ICETOOL does for DFSORT.

Syncsort and DFSORT are competing sort products. Frank and Allisa I am sure will add to this thread, so I will end with a 'search the forum'.
