krisprems,
option 1:
1.In 3.4 just give the high level qualifier and hit enter
2.Once you get the list of Dsn's type "save list" at the command prompt and hit enter.
3. The dataset listing is saved as "userid.list.datasets'
Option 2:
Run Listcat in batch mode with Level option ex: tso listcat level('HLQ') and parse the output to get the dsn names
Hope this helps... _________________ Kolusu

kolusu,
OPTION 1 worked easily, but only thing is i had to give instead of just giving .
Is that i have to make any settings change in my ISPF to get the list by just giving the USERID?
OPTION2:
i have no much idea as to how to run the listcat in batch mode and also the OPTION1 worked so i left this OPTION.
Thanks for your help. _________________ cHEERs
