Do you have MS Visual Studio?
What DB2 do you have? where is (server, MF) it?

By the way, this is a IBM Mainframe forum. You can get most of your answers at the Fujitsu forums web site.

Visual Studio express or did you buy a student version - i did. I did not like the Fujitsu COBOl 3.0 compiler (student version) because it is not supported anymore. I got the MicroFocus student addition (I bought visual studio - student edition - <$200) and use MS SQL express server - (free) which I found easier to install (and use because of the free GUI'S available) than the db2 express version which required the eclipse platform and had less GUI's.

I then spent about 20 hours reading thru all the different forums available for these products and eventually got things to work. It is no fun, you have to learn and remember a lot - I am not a dba (wasn't anyway!) and a lot was new. I am not the person to help you thru this. You really need to start visiting the websites that host forums for this pc stuff.

One thing that i did was download irfanview from http://www.irfanview.com/. as I went thru sites learning things and attempted to configure my sql server, I kept a text file open and cut&pasted an image of everything that worked. Then used infanview to generate jpg/png images which i saved in a PDF as my personal reference.

mrinalsolanki,

it is no wonder you are having problems; you don't seem to know or what to search for info:

http://www.microfocus.com/Resources/Communities/Academic/

as far as I am concerned, this thread is closed!
