Hi
I am trying to email a PS file with Lrecl 1411 and I am getting an error
like below
FileDD: REPORT
-Input Records: 51 TXT
Error: The IBM TCP/IP SMTP Server does not
support data that is larger than lrecl 1024. The
lrecl calculated so far is: 1411
Process is now terminating.....
Is there anyway that this can be achieved ?
Can Lrecl be compressed?
Any help is highly appreciated. |

I would run the file through a program that cuts each record into 2 parts - these would then have to be reassembled at the other end.
I have seen compression techniques that can actually INCREASE the lrecl on the odd record. Without knowing the structure of the record I cannot say if there is a chance of compression or not. _________________ Utility and Program control cards are NOT, repeat NOT, JCL. |

Use NDM.
If you don't have that Use XMIT.
cmd: XMIT nodename.userid DA('DSN')
at the node specified: use cmd RECEIVE and then RESTORE |

LRECL should not be a problem with the above methods. |
