VS COBOL I does NOT exist at all. Check this link for history of cobol compilers.

Arv,

I am curious to know where have you come across VSCOBOL1.

And what would you do by knowing the difference!!! Are you into some conversion typo????

From the history of cobol compilers it looks that VS COBOL II is later version of OS/VS COBOL. Maybe this is Arv referring as VS COBOL I.
