Experts,

Pls help me in succeeding this.

We have CA-Intertest/Batch debugger available in our shop. Basically, nobody uses it. I am trying to bring it into usage but getting certain setting up problems with it.

There is no default PROTSYM file available in our system. So, I modelled it against an user existing PROTSYM file. Now, I am not able to add the program to this PROTSYM file. I am getting error "DDNAME NOT AVAILABLE".

Code:

---------------- CA-InterTest Batch PROTSYM Add Program Lis- DDNAME UNAVAILABLE
COMMAND ===>
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Use this panel to add program listings to a symbolic file using the
listing post-processor.

PROTSYM Dsname    ===> 'USERID.INTBATCH.PROTSYM'

Listing Dsname    ===> 'XXXXX.XXXXX.TEST.LST'
   Library Type   ===> NDV   (PDS, SEQ, LIB, PAN, or NDV)

From Member       ===> XXXXXXXX
  To Member       ===> XXXXXXXX

View Messages     ===> RC    (ALL, NONE, RC)

Press ENTER to add program listings to the PROTSYM file or END  to cancel
this operation.

We have Endevor at our shop. I've added a test program to Endevor and the listing is also created but I am not able to make use of the debugger.

Please help me in this regard. Please let me know if you need more details.

TIA.

Kolusu, Thanks for your quick reply. I've just downloaded the PDF and going through it.
Are you aware of the problem "DDNAME UNAVAILABLE" while adding a LST to PROSYM file?

Pls help if you know.

Can you paste the post processor report. This can help in finding the problem.

The error "DDNAME UNAVAILABLE" was appearing on the screen itself. I was going through the foreground option.

Please suggest.
