Hi all,
Can we compare fields in 2 fix files with differnt layout?
ex:
FILE1
FIELD1 FIELD2 FIELD3 FIELD4
AAAAAAA BBBBBBB CCCCCCC
FILE2
FIELD1 FIELD2 FIELD3 FIELD4
CCCCCC AAAAAAA BBBBBBB DDDDDD
ex:
compare FIELD1 (file1) with FIELD2 (file2)

Idushkin,
It's not clear what you want to do. Do you want to compare the records one-by-one, but the key or in some other way and what do you want to do if the fields compare or don't compare? Please show an example of the records in each input file and what you want for output, and explain what you want to do. Check the process options for SuperC (part of ISPF). It lets you select different parts of records from different files to be compared. |
