Can we able to run REXX Exec in the Background?

hi
when executing the REXX EXEC, if the exec takes more time to execute ,and until then we cant do anything, if we want to perform some any operation we have to press the attention key,since rexx exec is running in the foreground.Is it possible to run REXX EXEC in background mode and continue with our work so that we dont want to wait until the rexx execution is finished?.Looking for your replies
