Hi Board,
I need a some more clarifications regarding data to be stored in IMS-IO Area.

1) While processing the the data sequentially when End Of Database Condition occured "What would be the data available in IO-Area?"
Is that is the last segment retrieved (or) IMS will clean-up IO Area as soon End of Database Condition Occurred?

2)
Seg-1 Root Segment
Seg-2 Child to Seg-1
Seg-3 Child to Seg-2

Possibility:
Only ONE Seg-2 Occurrence Available for ONE occurrence of Seg-1
There may be many Seg-3 occurrence available for ONE Occurrence of Seg-2
Call 'CBLTDLI' WS-GHU (With Path Call)
PCB
IO-Area
Qualified SSA for Seg-1
Qualified SSA for Seg-2

Loop
Call 'CBLTDLI' WS-GNP (With Path Call)
PCB
Unqualified SSA for Seg-3
End-Loop Until All the childerns Completed (or) Segment Not Found

When All childrens completed/Segment Not Found
What would be the value in IO-Area? Is that the Last retrieved segment occurrence data (Or) IMS will clean-up IO-Area?

Please clarify.

ramu_mohan21,

I suggest that you read the manuals available via quick Manuals link on the top of the page which will answer most of your questions.

1.Application Programming: Database Manager
2.Application Programming: Transaction Manager

Check this link for an answer for your question.
