Hi,
We are importing PS file to a CSV file via FTP. We have a requirement to import it using JCL. Is there any way to do like that?
Thanks,

Sure, you can do it if you know your destination server ID. Prepare a job like this.
Code: |
//R010 EXEC PGM=FTP
//INPUT DD *
(EXIT
pc-ftp-id
pc-username
pc-password
put 'mainframe.dataset' pc-filename.txt
quit
/*
//SYSPRINT DD SYSOUT=*
//SYSOUT DD SYSOUT=*
|
Hope this helps,
Thanks,

Kris_mf,
JCL by itself CANNOT do any thing . It is the pgms/utilities that does the functions for you. JCL is just used to run them . As Phantom showed you will still use the FTP program to send the dataset from the host to pc.
