We are having a problem with a .NET 2003 application that accesses DB/2 version 7.1 for z/OS through DB/2 Connect for Windows. All SQL calls perform normally. However, when the .NET application closes the form that issued the DB/2 calls, that form "hangs" and must be "end-tasked" to terminate. When the connection is changed from DB/2 to SQLServer 2000, the form closes normally. We have created a test .NET application that contains the same DB/2 calls as our problem application and that test application performs normally. This problem also appears to be CPU dependent. This problem only occurs on Pentium 3 processors and works normally on Pentium 4's.
We are aware of DB/2 Connect version 8 having substantial .NET compatablitity built in. We have been assurred that DB/2 Connect version 7 should have no issues with .NET applications. Any suggestions?

Problem has been solved. Seems patches were loaded on the Mainframe and not on the client. Hmm, somebody dropped the ball. Funny how it worked with a P4 and not with a P3.
