s_shivaraj,
What do you mean alter? Do you want to update the member stastics or delete members or update members?

To be more clear , i need to increase the No of Directory Blocks...
Currently i have 20 members in a PDS (4 Directlry blocks), i like to increase it to say 50 members ( 10 D. blocks ), how can i do this...
Sorry for not being clear _________________ Cheers

Hi
I have used this command in our Shop.
TSO PDS 'YOUR PDSNAME' FIXPDS EXPANDDIR(nn)
Where nn is the number of directory blocks that you are going to assign.
But I'm not sure whether it's shop specific. _________________ Regds,

Thanks Somu , Unfortunately it's not working for me.
Folks,
Is there any other similar command like above which would work in all shops? _________________ Cheers

shivraj,
There is no such command which is universal to all shops. Somu has shown a clist/rexx which is used in his shop only. Why not simply rename the dataset and create a new PDS and copy all the members to the new pds. Once you copied , simply the old renamed PDS and rename the New pds to your original name

Kolusu,
Thanks for your sugesstion..
But the thing is when i am editing new member in a PDS and after completing it , if i save it, then i am getting no Space in directory, the reason being that , the PDS has already reached its max. no of members. (but 50 % Space is free).
We can save in another PDS and we can do that.
But if we alter the No of Directory blocks through some JCl or through some TSO command then we can save the member very easily.
Let me know, if the above thing can be done in some other way... _________________ Cheers
