MVS 5.2 - OS390 2.8,

I have a task on hand to plan for increasing the DB2 bufferpool size(VP,HP) for one of the subsystem.

I would like to know whether enough memory is available with the mainframe CPU so that after increasing DB2 will subsytem will function asusual.Could you help me out how to check this memory status. Any guideline for memory mgt for this task will be highly appreciated.

Note : I have Bool&Babbage mainview for MVS tool to monitor performance.

Thanks,
pm

To make any asessments you need to tell us what kind of storage you have available, and how much. Do you have expanded storage? What kind of machine are you using? Are you using a LPAR - how much storage does it have?
