Experience with JDBC drivers
Does any one has any experience working with DB2 on OS/390 and types of JDBC drivers to use (Type 2 or Type 4) from WebSphere running on AIX or Windows? If so, could you please share your experiences ? _________________ Systems Integrator

I think it is similar the way ODBC connectivity works. Experts pls. correct me if I am wrong.
Just in case...
1) You need to configure using IP addrs or Hostname with DB2 TCP Port number (default its 446) check in your shop for correct port number.
2) You need to give IDENTIFIER & LOCATION name of the db2 sub-system.
3) You need to bind plans to establish connectivity between your windows and DB2 OS390.
Hope it helps!!! |
