STEP16 is the step which got abended.
its not a first time run. prev it was fine but now it creates an abend.

where ws-var-a is an index.

when I use
INITIALIZE INDEX1.
it gives compile error
it says 'index1 was defined as a type that wass invalid in this context' |

how do we initizialize an index in the middle of the program.
that is they are using the field in one para and while coming to next para it needs to get initialized.
we cant do by this way 'SET IN ... |
