yeah - no luck. all i found was install/setup guide. need list of all available SYSIN parms, and description - FORMAT, FIELD, KEY, MASK, etc. |

Did you notice that there are 2 sets of SET1 0123 ABYZ 0003 records? And both of them have need to have the same group number? By using INREC you will have a break in group num ... |

Have u tried adding a sequence # to the INREC to preserve the original sort order of the file? Maybe something like
INREC IFTHEN=(WHEN=INIT,OVERLAY=(nn:SEQNUM,8.PD)),
... |

INREC OVERLAY=(81:DATE=(MD4(/))
SORT FIELDS=COPY
INCLUDE COND=(1,10,CH,EQ,81,10,CH)
I get ICE027 ... |

FWIW, HEADERn/TRAILERn were designed for reports, and will involve carriage control characters for them to work the way they were designed to work. I think this is what you were referring to when you ... |
