while using the UNIX server you use the file path like this
'/folder1/folder2/file.txt'
While using Windows server use
'\folder1\folder2\file.txt'
So sample JCL search in this forum. |

OPTION NULLOUT=RC16
OUTFIL FNAMES=SORTOUT,NULLOFL=RC4
With DFSORT, NULLOFL=RC4 applies to the SOR ... |

Do you know the approx time when the file will be available ?
If so schedule the JOB at the time and add the option MAXDELAY=QUEUED, this tries to check for the file again and again for every n int ... |

I tried this with DFSORT and got RC=0 both ways. SYSOUT shows NULLOUT=RC4 but I got ICE174I msg for NULLOUT=RC0 !
SYNCSORT works fine.You have both DFSORT and SYNCSORT at your site???

Also try using extended volume...
This error may be caused because you reached end of volume!!! |

Hi
You can do this using SORT.
Below SORT JOB returns RC=0 'If date > Jan 07 and time > 11:06' else the JOB returns RC=4.
So for the Further steps you can capture the Return code and exe ... |
