nevilh - I ran a job that created 6 new files, 3 with UNIT=ALLOC & 3 without any UNIT= statement ... all 6 files were created on 6 different packs ... so I guess that UNIT=ALLOC is, as I suspected ... |

Thanks for the reply Kolusu, but I've already looked there and it doesn't give an example of the exact line UNIT=ALLOC ...
It tells how to point at a specific UNIT, or to use the same UNIT as a pre ... |

I've been programming for over 20 years and have never used it, can't recall ever seeing it before ... it doesn't show as an option on the UNIT par ... |
