I got the error message like Dataset not found.
Then I found that the corresponding file has not been catalogued.
When I catalogued it, I am able to retrieve the same without any Volume reference pa ...

Is there any way to find the space required to hold the tape file in DASD without recovering the tape file to DASD?
Please let me know if there is any utility for the same.

The COBOL Declaration for Input field is S9(18)V9(2) Comp-3.
The output should be in the same format but multipied with -1.

For eg: Amount field is 15.35 then internally in mainframe it is stored as
Positive Value is stored as : FFFFFFFFFFF
00000001535
Negative value is stored as : FFFFFFFFFFD
00000001535 ...
