Since many people were requesting the quick reply option we have introduced an Advanced quick reply that allows users to use a quick reply form which is placed below every topic. I have added it to the board.

It will only display when a user has the reply access.i.e registered user. The user will have an option to quote the last message and an option to recieve notification upon reply. There is a list of smilies to choose from as you see in the reply option.

You can test quick reply functionality here.Some hints:

1. Try to click on dalaly's name and see what happens
2. Try to select any text on the page and click "Quote selected"

Does Post Reply offer any functionality that Quick Reply doesn't? I like Quick Reply, but I want to make sure I'm not missing anything I need by using it.

Frank,

The only features POST REPLY offer is the BB CODES(ex: code tags, bold,italic, underline...),FONT,COLOR which can be selected by clicking on them or selecting the font and color from a drop down list.But if you are aware of the common BB codes , then you will not notice any difference between quick reply and post reply. 8)

Is there a way that I can turn disply of Quick Reply off? I don't reply very often (I'm new here) and I'd rather spend the time to load the reply page on the rare occasions when I would reply than having the quick reply stuff load for every single thread I read. I looked in Profile but didn't see anything there to turn it off.

In regards to your question, there is not a way to turn the Quick Reply option off. However I am going to look into adding a smaller quick reply box so it does not take up such a large space.
