I am doing a performance tuning project for tuning the COBOL programs in my system. Can you suggest me some documents which I can take help of.

Check this link for IBM's Whitepaper about good tips on writing efficient COBOL programs

Alternatively If your site has COMPUWARE'S STROBE then you can run it against the program and find out the performance tuning areas
