Hi,

Want to increase the space of a PDS without renaming or deleting the PDS. Tried with COMPRESS option and also ran the PDS thru IEBCOPY utility to increase the space. But directory blocks of the dataset are fully used.

Is there a Utility to increase the SPACE attributes (Primary or Secondary extents) of the existing datset?

Thanks
Jyotsna

Jyotsna,

Since you did not want to rename or delete the pds , there is no way to increase the space in a existing pds using JCL. However there are some utilities offered on cbt tape which can perform several tasks on a PDS. There is something called PDS Command Package ( I don't remember the file #) . you can check CBTTAPE at http://www.cbttape.org

Hope this helps...

Cheers
