Hi,
Is there any difference between COMP and COMP-4. Why would we go
for COMP-4 and COMP-5. I think upto COMP-3 enough... Is there any
special reason for these data types?

Krishna,
COMP BINARY and COMP-4 mean the same. I guess you are aware how much memory is allocated with COMP items.
A COMP-5 treats all binary items as pure binary items or in other words it is similar to using the TRUNC(BIN) compiler option.
