hi every one i am using changeman and i want to compare the changes that i have done with the actual one ....what do i need to do ...is there any option for this  waiting 4 reply |

Did you check the option 6 ( Generate Changeman batch reports) from the changeman primary option menu ?

Kavya,
We are using changeman version 5.2 in our shop and we can type in command "VC" next to the component to do a compare. Typing "VC" will take you to the next panel which lists the changed component and the same component from the baseline library. We can issue a command "C" next to the component names and hit enter get the differences.

To whom are you referring to ? 2 solutions have been provided to you (by Kolusu & Prakal) but your question does not seem to refer any of those.
If you are talking about opening your program in ISPF editor, make changes and press F3 (Save & Exit) then you can't differentiate your original code with changes in 3.4.
Instead if you have your original code in Changeman, you retrieve and make changes to it and add it back to Changeman, then you can find the differences (inserts - deletes - changes). To get these, follow the steps suggested by kolusu and prakal.

If you modify a component from within changeman and hit PF3 you do get compare results with insert and delete. Hopefully this answers your question!
