Hello,
I am using ADRDSSU utility to take backup of my DASD sequential datasets. However, it does not take backups of Migrat1/Migrat2 datasets.

How can I take TAPE backup of datasets which are in Migrat1 or Migrat2 status without recalling them. I really dont want to recall them as there are around 5000 such datasets in migrat status and I desparately have to take backup of them in TAPE without recalling them.

Can someone please suggest solution or jcls for these

Thanks

kamur,

ADRDSSu cannot be used to dump data sets with a volume serial of MIGRAT. The recommended method of dumping migrated data sets is ABARS(Aggregate backup and recovery support.

Check this link for documentation of ABARS

Another option is to issue HRECALL in batch and then use ADRDSSU to copy

Hope this helps..

Cheers
